Youth Dairy Goat Show
Friday, August - 6:00 P.M.

The Youth Dairy Goat Show will be Friday, August 27th at 6:00 P.M. The Youth show is separate from the open show and it requires a separate registration. The animals entered do not need to be ADGA registered. Entries must be received by mail no later than August 17th. Send to: Linda Clewley, 248, Corinth Rd., Garland, ME 04939 (924-5506). Double check general rules & regulations & health sections in the Fair Book All dairy breeds eligible: Alpine, Sanaan, Nubian, LaMancha. Oberhasli, Toggenburg and Recorded Grades. All animals must be polled or disbudded. No animals with horns will be allowed. Showing and Fitting Divisions are by the age of the exhibitor. Junior: Ages 7,8,9, 1 0 Intermediate: Ages I 1, 12,13,14 Senior: Ages 15,16,17,18 Novice: Any first time exhibitor unless the exhibitor wishes to be in their age appropriate class.

  1. Kid, under 4 months.
  2. Kid, 4 months to under 8 months.
  3. Kid, 8 months to under 12 months
  4. Dry Yearling.
    JUNIOR CHAMPION AND RESERVE JUNIOR CAMPION - ROSETTE
  5. Milker under 2 years
  6. Milker 2 years and under 3 years
  7. Milker 3 years and under 5 years
  8. Milker 5 years and older

    SENIOR CHAMPION AND RESERVE SENIOR CHAMPION-ROSETTE
    Specialty Classes will be held after the completion on Classes #1 to 8 in each breed. Entries for specialty classes will be limited to one per exhibitor per class. Animals must be owned by the same exhibitor. Trophy awarded to First place and premiums paid to the top three places. Animals can be of mixed breeds.

  11. Get-of-Sire (don't have to own the Sire)
  12. Best Udder
  13. Herd (I dry, I in milk, I exhibitor 'choice)
  14. Aged Doe not in milk
